Sounds great, but.... August 18, 2018
Reviewer: Dawn Witherspoon from West Deptford, NJ United States
I have the full archive (through 2016), and just bought the 2017 update. Two things: First, the thumb drive is basically the install, not usable on it's own. The update doesn't update the thumb drive, so now my computer has the full data, not the thumb drive. The ads portray it as portable on the thumb drive, which isn't completely accurate. Second, the search function is limited. Looking for a quilt pattern by name is great, but if you don't know the name, have fun finding it. For example, I didn't know the "Charming Addition" quilt by name. I searched for "plus sign", since it is repeated plus signs. Even though "plus sign" is in the sub-title, it didn't find it. And it doesn't find it looking for "charm", either. The searching could use some work for future versions. Summary, it takes up a LOT less space, but you may still need to do a bit of thumbing through to find a pattern you  know is there somewhere.

I love having every issue of American Patchwork & Quilting on a USB.  Now I have more room for fabric.

I love that I can search by block, keyword, designer name, issue featured, etc. The archive is a time-saving (and space-saving) tool!

Love the Archive! March 19, 2018
Reviewer: Lindsay
I love how searchable the Archive is! It's easy to find the patterns or techniques I'm looking for, browse different patterns or articles, and then print the pattern (or bookmark it as a future project). Now, instead of ripping out the patterns I love from the magazine and storing them, I can just reference the software for all my favorites!
